Assignment Abstract- Beach Management

As an environment, a beach is the centre of many acitvities and plays host to a number of biological processes while being subject to a spectrum of overrulling law and regulation, this presents an environmental manager with a wide variety of management criteria involving multiple aspects such as:
  • Ownership
  • Environmental liability
  • Stakeholder interest
  • Public liability
  • Encouragement of bio-diversity
  • Tourism and the effect of tourism on bio-diversity and coastal processes
  • Development
  • Contingency planning
  • Coastal squeeze
  • Pollution and many more.

This assignment is a detailed insight into the effects of Beach Management, it's overall picture including the planning process and how the laws governing it shape the development of beach management plans.
